It charges the battery with electricity generated by deceleration energy, stops unnecessary power generation during cruising and reduces engine load during fuel-consuming standing starts and acceleration by providing motor assist. In short, it saves fuel while delivering spirited response. ISG also restarts the engine quietly after engine auto stops. Quiet Start After each engine auto stop, the ISG can start the engine without the squealing noise of a starter motor. Compact Size The compact SHVS can be added without changing the vehicle's body structure. Therefore, it maintains the comfort, utility and spaciousness of the interior.
